The latest EN 54 certification for Bosch Voice Alarm covers both the mid-end Plena Voice Alarm System and the high-end fully digital Praesideo system – so now virtually any installation size can be equipped with best in class PA and voice alarm.
Complete EN 54 certification
Since April 2011, all products used in a voice alarm system that is connected to a fire alarm system must, by European law, be certified according to the extended EN 54 fire alarm standard. Moreover, the EN 54 certification includes not only the central voice alarm equipment but also any peripheral equipment such as loudspeakers.
All components covered
Bosch was one of the first manufacturers to offer EN 54-certified voice alarm equipment (in 2009) and now its Praesideo and Plena VAS central voice alarm equipment have received certification to EN 54-16. Bosch charging equipment is also certified, to the EN 54-4 standard. And unlike other manufacturers who only offer loudspeakers for one or two defined uses, Bosch provides a broad portfolio certified to EN-54-24. The loudspeaker range covers the full range of audio applications, from voice alarm to speech and background music as well as foreground music and professional audio. The range covers indoor and outdoor types and includes flush-mounted loudspeakers for walls and ceilings.
All of which means that when meeting the latest EN54 European product standards, the benefits and advantages of integrating Bosch fire alarm and Bosch voice alarm systems are still very much alive.
